New Day

Today is a brand new day,

and so I close my eyes and pray.

That whatever I do or say,

Is pleasing to the Lord in every way.

Under His blessings I shall stay,

He keeps His promises come what may.

And even though my flesh may stray,

In Heaven the’re is a golden entryway.

Jesus’s Love will show me the way

and I’m bound to pass through there one day.

Jesus’s Love will show me the way,

Jesus’s blood washed my sins away

Under His blessings I shall stay.

It’s a brand new day.

Isaiah 40:31

2 Corinthians 5:17

It’s never to late to dedicate your life to the Lord.

No matter what you have done and no matter how bad you feel about yourself, God has a plan for you to lift you up and show you His grace.

You must repent and turn away from your sin.

If you fail, you must pray for forgiveness and return to the correct path once again. Forget what has happened in the past.

Concentrate on every moment of everyday and let your thoughts and ways be in line with God.

It will not be easy but it will get easier as you develop discipline.

Daily prayers, reading of scripture and praise and worship are your weapons in this battle of spiritual warfare.

We all fall, but not all of us get back up.

Don’t let your past mistakes prevent you from achieving your future glory.

God is Love.

God’s Promises

What would you do if you could do anything?

Who would you be if you had no limitations?

What if I told you that this was already true?  That the bible says that those who believe in the promises of the Lord are only limited by their own faith when it comes to what they can or cannot do.

Can you believe it?

Can you make your faith in God your superpower?

Because if you can, you really can do anything.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s your faith in God’s promises that enables miraculous changes in your life. The power of God is manifest through the Holy Spirit based on your faith in Jesus Christ . No other source is responsible. There is no “secret” remedy. God has been telling anyone who is willing to believe for thousands of years how they can get a better life.

“Knowledge is Power” – Francis Bacon

Once you know God’s promises, and believe in your heart that they are true, that knowledge frees your mind and allows you to believe in yourself. It allows you to see yourself as God sees you.

Faith is the key.

The power of prayer

Each person prays in his or her own way.

Prayer is how we speak to God.

Through prayer, discernment and reading the Bible, God speaks to us.

In today’s world modern communications have made it possible for instantaneous face to face conversations with anywhere on the planet.

Social media dominates our modern interaction.

Think of prayer as God’s social media!

The best thing is you don’t need internet service, a laptop or any other device for it to work! The only thing you need is a desire to talk to Him. Our Creator.

The Bible says in James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

So take some time today and speak to the Lord in prayer. He is always waiting to hear from you.

How can you tell if you are right with God?

Romans 3:10 (NKJV)

10 As it is written:

“There is none righteous, no, not one;

In chapter 4 of Romans the Bible goes on to explain that it is Faith, and not the Law that gives us righteousness before the Lord. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are accounted righteousness based on their faith. Abraham’s faith in the Lord was so great that he was willing to end the life of his only son as proof of his willingness to obey the will of God in his life  (Genesis 22).  At the end of Romans Chapter 4, the Word goes on to say:

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, (Abraham)24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

The Bible is very clear that it is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and our faith in Him that we are saved. We are not saved by works. This article does a good job of explaining how we are to be careful of our attitudes when we do good works. We should approach all our works as a humble servant doing his or her duty without expecting anything in return. Not accolades, nor recognition , nor payment in any form. Our actions should come from a place of love, as a child will lovingly serve his father so must we serve our God in Heaven. Not as a payment for our salvation, but as a love offering, to show our gratitude for our blessings.

This is not often easy to do. The world likes to harp on the saying that there is no thing as a true selfless act. This is a lie from the pit of Hell. If this were true then no soldier would give up his life to save his brothers on the battlefield.  No one wants to die being a hero but countless times in history we read of people throwing themselves on a grenade or rushing a machine gun nest in order to save their squad mates in war. The motivations for these types of actions are not calculated and the decisions made are often made in a split second. They are motivated by love. This is what should always be our motivation when we do good. If we find ourselves making the error of thinking of our rewards for our good deeds then we should automatically repent and ask the Lord for forgiveness.

I pray, Heavenly Father, that I am constantly motivated to serve You in all my ways. I pray that I can recognize when I am sinning by being prideful of my service and that this recognition leads me to repentance. I ask that you continue to allow me to be a blessing to the body of Christ through my service and that You continue to bless me with Your presence in my life. I thank You,  Lord for all that you have done and will continue to do for me, for my family and for my friends. I pray that You fortify  and enlighten, Heavenly Father, my brothers and sisters in Christ so that they to can serve you from a position of love and not of pride in good works. May our faith in You continue to multiply daily and may our faith continue to be counted as righteousness in Your eyes. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I don’t think that there can be any feeling more rewarding than walking in the gifts that the Lord has given you. When you act on the calling that you feel in your heart in going about God’s business, you can say, in all honesty, that you are at peace. The hard part is finding out what your true calling is. Many people want to be something that is different from what God calls them to be. Some want the prestige of being a pastor or the leader of a specific ministry without really taking the time to verify through prayer and waiting for confirmation from God about their chosen ministry.

Don’t get me wrong, God wants you to be happy while you serve Him and no one wants to feel obligated to do something that they truly do not want to do. That being said, if no one did the unpleasant or difficult ministries, then the people who stand to benefit and grow in their communion with the Lord through these necessary works would never get the chance that our sacrifice avails them. It’s hard to go into a hospital and visit the sick, or go into a prison and visit the inmates but these ministries are essential if we are to reach new members of the body of Christ who desperately need to hear the word of God.

The word of God brings comfort to some, correction to others, spiritual nourishment to many and enlightenment to all. Each of us needs to pray and ask God how best he wants us to serve Him. If we do this with an open and contrite heart, our Father in Heaven will answer us and we will be fulfilled with His righteousness.

Today I would like to ask you to step up into your calling. Accept the new covenant that the Lord has made with humanity through Christ Jesus. (Hebrews 8:10)  Allow your body to become a temple where the love of the living God resides (1 Corinthians 3:16).

We must let God into our hearts if we are to become His temple. God chooses us but we have to choose him as well. (Revelations 3:20). (Romans 8:9-11)

Be thankful always…

God is real. Jesus is real. The Holy Spirit is real.

My affirmation of these facts makes them real. I know them to be true because the Lord has shown Himself to me through the love of His Son Jesus.  God is love.  I am grateful for all that the Lord has done for me and my family. I await with great anticipation the blessings yet to come.

There are things that are not of this world which are metaphysical in nature. Pray that the Lord will manifest Himself to you and He will. Ask Jesus to enter your heart and He will.  Open up your heart and mind and shed any preconceived notions while praying earnestly. Be not afraid.

God has a plan for each and every one of us. It is up to us to seek out that plan and manifest our God given gifts as a sign of our gratefulness. Be that which the Lord wants you to be. Take baby steps. Learn what are your spiritual gifts and act on them.

Be Blessed.

We want to know your prayer needs
